“My boyfriend and I stayed at Cary's in 2019. We loved it so much we came back in June 2022 and had an even better time. The environment and the energy here is amazing and beyond peaceful. In addition to the lovely set up, Cary also was the best host! She kept in contact with us the whole time, asking if we needed anything and included me in some gardenting she was doing which was very delightful and fun. She also made a hearty breakfast for us whick I absolutely loved and wish I could have the recipe for her to-die-for blueberry muffins!! The scenery is exquiste and we were able to take a bunch of pictures around the property. Cary also recommended things to do around Westport Island. We ended up kayaking nearby and zip lining! The rest of the time we just relaxed on the property. I definitely did not want to leave and I plan to come back! I can't wait to show off this awesome place.”

My Story
I started hosting in 2015, welcoming many hundreds of guests and making lots of new friends. My family and I had returned from living as volunteers at a homeless resource center where we started programs in biking, winter sports and nonviolent communication. I felt transformed by the last four winters volunteer travel abroad and the elements of collaboration and shared experience. I believe in the power of connection and community around fun and relaxation so I started hosting. I wanted to offer an "experience" and not just a room. People love it. My passionate mom of three grown boys, gardener, cyclist, world traveling volunteer and wellness advocate stories came out around the campfire and I heard yours. What an honor.
I hope this peaked your curiosity. Come stay. Pull up a chair by the fire, walk a trail, watch the busy wildlife from our lovely log porch, nap in a hammock, eat lobster or nibble from my garden...whatever nourishes you. You will find it here. See you soon!
